Counseling

Insurances Accepted: Pacific Source and Moda

Psychotherapy is a supportive process that helps people work through mental and emotional challenges with a licensed professional. It often looks at past experiences to understand how they shape current thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through this healing-focused approach, individuals can gain insight, build coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

Please note: If you are looking for personal growth and/or if what you are experiencing does not meet a diagnostic threshold, coaching may be the right fit. If you’re unsure what you need, I’m happy to help you explore what support would best serve you.

A Space for Healing and Integration

Counseling offers a supportive and grounded space to explore your experiences, process emotions, and move toward healing, at your own pace. My work is centered on helping individuals heal from various forms of trauma and complex trauma (C-PTSD), while building a deeper sense of safety, stability, and connection within themselves and with others.

My Approach

I use an integrative mind-body approach that is primarily based in concepts and techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Somatic Experiencing (SE). This combination allows us to work not only with your thoughts and emotions, but also with how your experiences are held in the body.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): to help develop psychological flexibility, relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions, and take meaningful steps aligned with your values

  • Somatic Experiencing: to gently support your nervous system in processing and releasing stored trauma, using awareness of the body and its sensations

What We May Work On

  • Healing from chronic stress and/or various forms of trauma, including complex trauma

  • Reducing anxiety, overwhelm, and/or emotional reactivity (e.g., anger)

  • Understanding how patterns are shaped by past experiences

  • Rebuilding a sense of safety in your body and your environment

  • Strengthening emotional resilience and self-compassion

  • Navigating life transitions and/or relationship challenges

What Sessions Are Like

Sessions are collaborative, compassionate, and paced according to your needs and preference. In our work together, we may:

  • Discuss how trauma impacts your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions

  • Explore your experiences in a safe and supportive way

  • Notice and gently work with body sensations

  • Develop tools to regulate your nervous system

  • Practice staying present with difficult emotions without becoming overwhelmed

  • Build skills that support lasting healing and integration

Healing from trauma isn’t about forcing change—it’s about creating the conditions where change can occur naturally.

Is Counseling Right for You?

Counseling may be a good fit if you are:

  • Struggling with the effects of past trauma

  • Feeling stuck in patterns that are hard to change

  • Experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, or disconnection

  • Wanting deeper healing—not just coping, but real integration
